Grants available for old properties in Wicklow—but applications close soon

Conservation grants are available for worthy building projects, including privately owned houses, tourist attractions, churches and buildings in Wicklow—but applications close at the end of the month.

The closing date to apply for either the Built Heritage Investment Scheme (BHIS) or the Structures at Risk Fund (SRF) is the 31st January.

This annual funding is administered by Wicklow County Council on behalf of the Department of Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht.

The grants support appropriate repairs and interventions to ensure that Wicklow’s built heritage survives in good order.

Wicklow TD and Minister Harris encourages residents of Wicklow to apply as “The conservation of protected structures is hugely important in Co Wicklow as they are central to our County’s identity and also add to our tourism attractiveness.”
