As the night – and the cold – presses in, there’s warmth, joy and beautiful music to be found at Greystones Orchestra’s debut concert at The Whale.
With their summer concert having once again proven to be a sell-out, this much-loved local institution have put together a diverse and sumptuous programme to brighten up even the darkest winter evening in Greystones. From Haydn’s Symphony 88 to Fauré’s Sicilienne, this is a celebration of music that will appeal to all audiences.
Savour the deep-hued resonance of the clarinet as local musician Robert Clarke performs a selection from Finzi’s Five Bagatelles, with chamber orchestra. Listen spellbound as special guest soprano Katy Kelly joins the orchestra to sing Mozart.
A regular performer at The National Concert Hall in Dublin, Katy will perform arias from The Marriage Of Figaro, The Magic Flute and beyond.
So, a night not to be missed, as Greystones Orchestra performs for the very first time in a venue that might as well have been built for them.
