“Split the Pot”

Congratulation to Michael F. Nolan, Ballycoursey, Glenbrien, Enniscorthy, Co. Wexford ( envelope sold in Carnew Mart)  on winning 302 euro in this weeks “Split the Pot”.  Well done Michael.

Draw will be  on Wednesday  14th February due to the Mid-Term break.  Thank you to everyone for supporting “Split the Pot” in Ballyellis School.



On Sunday February 18 the walk is at Slievebawn-Tomduff. Grade B, 10k, 3 hours, meeting at Bunclody at 10.00. On Feb 25 the walk is at Croghan/Raheenleagh. Grade B, Accurate time and meeting place to be decided. Please ensure to wear proper walking boots, to bring adequate food & drink and to pack (or wear) rain gear.

Enrolment for School

Scoil Aodán Naofa, Carnew National School is now accepting enrolments to its Junior Infants class for September 2018.

Scoil Aodán Naofa is a Co-Ed, Vertical primary school under the Catholic Bishop of Ferns.



Enrolment forms are now available for those wishing to enrol in September 2018.  If you know of anyone wishing to have a child enrolled in Ballyellis please inform them that these forms are now available. Please contact the office on053 9426159 or email the school on if you wish to have an enrolment form sent out or call into the school to collect form.



The winner of Scoil Aodan Naofa Carnew Split the Pot was Anne Doyle, Main Street, winning €264, tickets on sale from the school or local shops.



Congratulations to Raymond and Dawn Kinsella, Tupperpatrick on the birth of their daughter.



Carnew and District Agricultural show committee would like to say a big thank you to all who supported the recent table quiz in Kenny’s, The Corner House, Carnew, congratulations to all the winners, your support is greatly appreciated.



The next training weekend for new members is on Sunday 25th February in Bray if anyone is interested in joining contact Patricia on 0872413293, new people are needed to keep this vital services going. The Responders are trained to administer asprin, do CPR and use the AED, they are called by the ambulance service in case of cardiac arrest, choking and chest pain.
