Éire Óg urge vigilance after reports of stolen valuables

Éire Óg Greystones GAA have urged visitors to be vigilant after there were reports of valuables being stolen from people’s cars in the club’s car park.

Th club issued a statement on their social media last night saying: “The club have received three reports of wallets/purses being stolen from cars while parked in Éire Óg Carpark in the last week.

“In two cases the owners were sure they had locked their cars so it is possible that some device was used to reopen/block the lock.”

According to Éire Óg, at least two of these thefts took place during daylight hours and they advised people to be wary of any strange activity on the premises.

“Please be vigilant and keep valuables out of sight and please report any suspicious activity to the Gardaí,” they said.
