Join the Wicklow Historical Society for a talk on a Bray woman who fought in WWI

The next talk in the Winter Series of Lectures organised by Wicklow Historical Society will take place this Monday at 8pm in the De La Salle Pastoral Centre, Wicklow Town.

The talk will be delivered by Bray Historian Brian White on the life of Josephine Heffernan, a woman who had established two careers before deciding to go to America and later joined the US Army as a nurse and served with distinction in WW1.

Her story has been a national and international TV sensation since 2002.

Join the Wicklow Historical Society at 8pm in the Pastoral Centre to learn of how Josephine’s WWI bracelet found in France sparked a 15 year global investigation, and of her contacts with Theodore Rosevelt and Walt Disney.

The talk is free of charge with a voluntary donation box on the night to help offset costs.
