Swimmer rushed to hospital after being airlifted from Bray Head

A swimmer has been rushed to Tallaght Hospital after being airlifted from Bray Head.

The person, believed to be a woman, was spotted by a passerby around midday, where the swimmer looked to be having difficulty in the water.

Irish Coast Guard helicopter Rescue 116 were called to the scene along with a RNLI lifeboat and Greystones Wicklow coast guard unit.

The swimmer’s condition has not yet been confirmed.
