AGBs Senior Men travelled to Annacurra on Sunday morning to face them in the League. A great result saw AGB finish with a strong win of 3-15 to Annacurra 1-07. A level score at half time, saw AGB return with gusto. A strong first half had encouraged an even stronger second half, where AGB got stuck in and ploughed through the Annacurra defence. Scores were from Darragh Culleton 1 pt, Jp Hurley 4 pts, Cathal Kelleher 1 pt, Peter Hempenstall 1g 1pt, Stephen Hurley 7pts, Philip Healy 1goal 1 pt, and Chris O Brien 1goal.
AGBs Intermediate Ladies welcomed Tinahely to Pearses Park on Sunday morning in their first match of the league. The AGB girls put on a strong performance and held their own for the first half, seeing both teams finish level at the half time mark. The second half saw more of the same, and the AGB girls remained strong. Tinahely made their mark, and quickly turned the score line around to their advantage. A final score saw Tinahely win with a final score of 2-09 to AGB 1-08.
AGBs Juvenile Section held a recycling drive on Saturday 24th of March in Pearses Park. Special thank you to all who supported this AGB Findraiser. Lenrec Recycling collected the recycling and a cheque was presented to AGB.
AGB will host an Easter Camp on Tuesday 27th, Wednesday 28th, and Thursday 29th of March from 10am to 2pm, in St Mary’s College Sports Hall, for ages 6 to 12. The cost of the camp is €35 per child. Book your place with Sinead on 0871374812.
AGB were in attendance this year in the Arklow St. Patrick’s Day Parade, and won best uniform / dressed in the parade. Well done to all our players, coaches and admins who braved the cold and donned our AGB Colors with pride. The first trophy of 2018, was presented to AGB on Friday night in the Bridge Hotel. Thank you to all the organisers of the Arklow Parade, who made the occasion a special one.
