Members of the Irish Army have been deployed in Blessington and Roundwood this morning.
The Irish Army have provided 60 soldiers and two snow ploughs to Wicklow County Council to help in clearing snow.
Areas surrounding Blessington and Roundwood have been cut off since last Thursday.
Local farmers, contractors, emergency services and Wicklow County Council have been praised for the effort that has been put in over the last number of days.
The Gardai are reminding people who are still cut off to call their local garda station.
