The next meeting of Dunlavin Festival of arts will take place on Saturday March 24th at 12.30pm in Seomra in the Imaal Hall. Anyone with any ideas for this years festival is invited to attend. This years festival takes place on June 15th, 16th and 17th 2018.
A Big Thank You – is extended to everyone for supporting the annual Reindeer food appeal. The grand total of €1,443 was raised and donated to Solas Autism Unit, Dunlavin.
Sympathy is extended to the Harney Family , Kingsland, Usk on the death at the weekend of Nina and also Nina’s 94 year old father . Nina is mourned by her husband Pat, sons Paul and Mark, daughters Maria and Ellie, her brothers Paddy and Joe, sisters Cathy and Pat and her many relatives and friends. Nina’s funeral took place in Crookstown last week. May she rest in peace.
Dunlavin Tidy Towns are holding their AGM on Thursday 22nd March 2018 at 7.30pm in the Imaal Hall. New members always welcome and your continued support is appreciated.
Jack O Connor kicked off his general election campaign with a visit to Dunlavin in the company of David Begg. Jack will stand in the Wicklow constituency for Labour. Despite the poor rating of Labour in the polls, Jack is optimistic of regaining the seat.
Dunlavin Flower & Garden Club – will host a demonstration in the Jonathan Swift School Hall, Dunlavin on Wednesday, March 14th at 8.00pm. The demonstration entitled “Springtime” will be by Christine Hughes. Admission €5.00 – Tea included – All Welcome!

The culture bus will depart Dunlavin on April 14th at 9.30am for a tour of Glasnevin museum, this will be followed by a tour of the Mansion House at 2pm. Feel free to travel on the bus and not attend the tours. Bus will depart for home at 5.30pm. To book contact 0879693960 or 0873272448.

Dunlavin’s Family Fashion Show.
This fundraiser will take place on March 23rd, 2018 in Rathsallagh Golf Club and once again we would like to take this opportunity to thank you most sincerely for your support with all our fundraising over the last four years, and to ask that you might consider supporting this event.
Tickets will go on sale this weekend for €20. Available from the Parish Office and the Committee Members. We will also be calling to your house over the few weeks. There is a Prize on the night for the “Best dressed Lady & Gentleman in the Audience” so get those “Glad Rags” out and you just might be surprised!!!!
We are producing a brochure and are looking for you to consider sponsoring an advert. Advertisements: €50 per page – €30 for half page.
We will also be having a raffle and the cards will be in the local business’s in the town next week. €2 per line or 3 lines for €5.

Community Health and Wellbeing Programme

The Camphill Farm-shop – opens every Thursday in Grangebeg from 1pm-5.30pm lots of fresh organic vegetables and eggs for sale.
Dunlavin Friendship Club
The friendship club meet in the Parish Centre on Fridays from 3-5pm. All new members welcome. If you have a neighbour or relative that might benefit from the club please bring them along.
Music lessons in Donard National school on Thurs at 8pm – tin whistle, flute, fiddle, banjo, concertina, accordion. Beginners welcome. Instuments available to borrow.
Line Dancing – continues in the Imaal Hal on Wednesdays from 8pm-10pm at a cost of only €6. New beginners are welcome, so come along learn a new skill and join the craic!
John Brady TD will hold a clinic in Dunlavin parish centre on the 2nd Monday of each month from 11.30am to 12.30pm. All welcome to drop in.
Used Postage Stamps
