Gardai are urging motorists to drive with caution following heavy rain.

Spot flooding has been reported on many roads throughout the county.

The AA are reporting flooding on the Kilmacanogue/Roundwood Rd (R755), with serious flooding at Calgary. Use an alternative route.

Road users are advised to avoid Upper Dargle Road in Bray at the Egan Shopping Centre due to flooding.

The rain will continue to be heavy at times in parts of Leinster and east Munster this afternoon with localised flooding, with the rain turning more showery in nature elsewhere. Top temperatures 8 to 11 degrees. Strong and gusty southeasterly winds will gradually ease from the southwest.
