Wicklow District
Slippery conditions in Wicklow Town particularly in hilly areas of the town such as Church Hill and Greenhills Road. Gritting ongoing in these areas. Caution advised on all roads.
Ploughing & Gritting ongoing on Slaughter Hill, Killiskey area and in Glenealy. Ploughing and Gritting operations being carried out.
Arklow District
There is 30mm to 80mm of snow on lower ground and 80mm to 160mm on higher ground with some drifting. Roads are all very slippy because of low temperatures and are not safe for driving
The Rathdrum to Laragh road will be ploughed shortly.
The M11 is down to one lane through the county with conditions especially poor on the northbound carriageway according to Gardai.
Conditions are particularly poor on the Church Hill in Enniskerry and Gardai are advising people to use an alternative route.
