Tinahely/Knockananna approx 200 to 250mms of snow have fallen in Knockananna. There are reports of 600mm to 900mm snow drifts in some locations also. Snow ploughs are working to clear main routes.
Carnew/Shillelagh/R725 approx 50 to 100/125mms of snow. Depths varying across area. Minor roads impassible. Wicklow County Council gritting truck and snow plough in operation. Snow ploughs are working to clear main routes.
N81/R747/Baltinglass approx 50-70mms of snow have fallen. (Of which 30mm plus occured since 0800) Roads are reported to be slushy and very slippy. Travel should be avoided if possible.
There is 30mm to 80mm of snow on lower ground and 80mm to 160mm on higher ground with some drifting. Roads are all very slippy because of low temperatures and are not safe for driving The Rathdrum to Laragh road will be ploughed shortly.
The Kilmacanoge/Roundwood Rd (R755) is impassable due to heavy snow fall.
