10 Year Anniversary of Citizens Information Centre, Blessington

Martina Cronin, Development Manager with Co. Wicklow Citizens Information Service (CIS), wishes to congratulate and say a big you to the volunteer information providers in the Citizen Information Centre in Blessington for their 10 years of dedicated and committed service to their community.

Sheila Andrews, Hugh Cooney, Anne Hanlon, Sally Tyrrell and Breda Waldron have been volunteering with Blessington Citizens Information Centre (CIC) from the beginning in April 2008, giving of their time and talents in the service of their community.

Martina says ‘Our team in Blessington CIC are highly trained and knowledgeable and are committed to helping the public to access the vast range of services available.  They have provided our clients with a confidential, comprehensive and high quality information and advice service over the past decade and continue to upskill to maintain their levels of expertise’.  Martina also pays tribute to Wicklow County Council’s Library Service for its support over the past 10 years and in particular the library staff in Blessington library.

Citizens Information Centres provide the public with information on topics such as Social Welfare, Employment, Consumer Advice, Health, Housing, Disability, Finance, Family Matters, and more. Information-givers will be happy to provide people with information and advice on all of their rights and entitlements.

The service is free, confidential and independent and is part of a network of over 250 Citizen Information Centres all over the country.
