The highlight of this week was the performance of our under 14 Feile team. On Friday evening we played Carnew in the first round of the Feile competition. This was a game we dominated from the start but struggled to put scores on the board however in the second half we closed out the game with a few well taken goals and ran out good winners in the end.

Saturday morning saw us in Ballinakill facing a fancied Bray team in the semi final of the competition. We started this game very well and were soon ahead ,taking our scores very well and playing some lovely football. We finished this game strongly and were through to the final against a physically strong and talented A.G.B. team.  This was a tough hard game and although we played some lovely football and took our chances well, we came up short in the end against an A.G.B team were deserved winners on the day. Well done to this group of Aughrim players and mentors who done the club proud  over the weekend.

Our adult team had a hard fought win over A.G.B in the semi final of the Brian Culleton cup on Saturday afternoon on a score line of 1-9 to 0-11.This was a good workout for a lot of our younger players and they showed great fighting spirit to come out on top in this game.

Our next outing in the league is the refixed Coolboy match away next Friday27th, lots of support needed.
