TINAHELY WALKING CLUB

On April 22 the walk is at Arts Lough, Grade B, 12k, 3 hours. Meet Tinahely 10.00 or Glenmalure Lodge 10.45

On April 29 the walk is at Curracloe/Raven, Grade C, 10k, 3 hours. Meet Curracloe car park, 11.00.Please ensure to wear proper walking boots, to bring adequate food & drink and to pack (or wear) rain gear.

Family Table Quiz

Shillelagh Area Community Games Committee will be holding a family table quiz on Sun 22nd April @ 4pm in Park View House Shillelagh to raise funds for our summer program. Entry fee €20 per table of 2 adults + 4 children. For further details find us on Facebook. Come along and get the grey matter revved up for the summer!

 

Carnew Emmets Juvenile Club 

Congratulations to all our u14 boys and Mentors who have qualified for this years Feile Na nGael following Saturday’s competition. We will be traveling West to Claregalway over the 8,9 & 10th of June. Details and arrangements will follow in due course.

The boys still have to compete in the Feile Peile na nOg competitions which were postponed due to bad weather and we wish them all the best with that.

 

Ballyellis National School

The Winners of this weeks “Split the Pot” is  Maya and Rena Kavanagh, Drummond  winning €223.Congratulations  Maya and Rena .   We thank everyone for supporting “Split the Pot”. Envelopes can be obtained from theSchool or any Parent and from Ashling Walsh after weekend Masses in Askamore Church.Draws will take place every Friday morning in Ballyellis School.

 

All Ireland Confined Drama Finals – Carnew – 2018

Four nights down and five nights to go with the All Ireland Confined Drama Finals which are taking place in St. Brigid’s Hall, Carnew this week. All will be revealed on Saturday night when the Adjudicator Mr. Tom Byrne chooses the winning group.

Fringe Events

Art and Photographic Exhibitions will continue daily from 4 – 7pm in Carnew Community Care, Carnew Training and Development Centre and in The Fourcourt Tea Rooms adjacent to St. Brigid’s Hall.

 

Wednesday 18th April: Carnew Library will host an afternoon of poetry at 2.30 pm, with Jim Ryan, Ettie Kilbride, Jacqui Mulholland, PJ Arthur, Susan White and Breda Morrison.

 

Thursday 19th April: 4pm Carnew TDC – A talk by Dr. Nicholas Bielenberg.  A unique opportunity to hear about his early life and his family’s experiences living in Germany at the beginning of the 2nd World War.  Booking: 087 9323990
