The main street in Kilcoole village is closed at Lower Green until further notice while Gardaí deal with a serious incident.
A woman was taken to hospital following the incident which happened just before 4am this morning.
Gardai are carrying out a forensic examination and are viewing CCTV from the area.
Diversions are in place.
