Greystones resident and Minister, Simon Harris TD has today confirmed that planning permission has been granted for the Greystones Community NS temporary accommodation.
Minister Harris welcomed the decision:
“Having secured additional temporary accommodation from the Department of Education for Greystones Community National, I am delighted to now confirm that Wicklow County Council has granted planning permission for the development.
This is fantastic news for Greystones as it will allow the school to take additional students for the coming year. School places are in very high demand in Greystones so it is vital that we are growing and developing our schools.
The focus continues to be on getting the permanent school built and the tender process is due to close in the coming weeks. I will be continuing to work with the school community and the Department of Education to ensure this moves forward as quickly as possible.”
