Wicklow gran hoping her stars align ahead of Winning Streak appearance

A lucky, bingo loving grandmother from Co Wicklow is among the five participants who will appear on the National Lottery Winning Streak game show on RTE One this Saturday (28th April).

They say good luck comes in three’s and if that’s true then Annie Healy from Aughrim is in for a lucky night on Saturday. Last Friday evening she won the jackpot at her local bingo game in Rathdrum and the very next day, as she was watching the show, she was shocked to see her name get pulled out of the drum.

Annie is married to Denis and has six adult children some of whom will be in attendance. She has four girls Joan, Margaret, Marian and Rachel, and two boys John and Padraig. In total she has 19 grandchildren, who she is proud of, and four sisters: Elisabeth, Vera, Breda and Catherine, who lives in Sweden.

The next episode of Winning Streak, will be broadcast next Saturday evening (28th April) at 8:35pm on RTÉ One, where presenters Marty Whelan and Sinead Kennedy will guide five players through the iconic show, which gives them the chance to win cash, cars and luxury holidays. One will get the once-in-a-lifetime chance to spin the Grand Prize Wheel with a maximum prize of €500,000.

The other four players chosen to participate in next week’s Winning Streak are:

  • Gabriel Hopkins from Ballycullen, Dublin 24
  • Lesley-Ann Danaher from Croagh, Co. Limerick
  • Annie Healy from Aughrim, Co. Wicklow
  • Brian Houston from Clontarf, Co. Dublin
