Wicklow SPCA, Sharpeshill are once again hosting their “All about Animals” event on Sunday May 6th from 11am until 5pm in our dog park at Ballygannon Mór, Rathdrum. Official opening at noon by Andrew Doyle, Minister of State.
An afternoon of information, education and demonstrations from a variety of groups who work with animals in our community.
In the Education Tent there will be experts each speaking on their animal related work, once finished with their presentation many of our speakers will be working with their animals in our demonstration arena while others will be available to speak with the public in their individual tents i.
From their gazebo’s local and national animal organisations including Dublin Zoo, Seal Rescue Ireland, Ben Harden Beekeeping, The Donkey Sanctuary, Irish Whale and Dolphin Group, Dogs Trust, Westwind Alpacas, National Parks and Wildlife Service, Wicklow Feral Cats, Golden Eagle Trust, Irish Draught Horses, Irish Sporting Glens, IHWT, Shanaclune Equine Dentistry are happy to share their knowledge to their experience.
On site we will have a wide range of suppliers to the animal world including photographers, crafters, animals feed specialists, groomers and animal herbal products.
Displays on the day from the Garda Mounted Unit, Garda Canine Unit, Irish Therapy Dogs and The Revenue Commissioners with their detector dogs.
Come along, be entertained, be educated, a great fun filled day for everyone. Animals play a big part in our lives. Come and meet them up close from dogs, horses, donkeys and alpacas to our very own adorable animals here looking for forever homes.
Free parking adjacent to the Wicklow SPCA. Adult €5. Children free.
