Mass of the Angels

Mass of the Angels will be celebrated on Saturday June 16th at 8pm in Church of the Sacred Heart Aughrim.  This special celebration of Mass will be offered for all the families in the locality who have lost a baby due to miscarriage, lost a baby around the time of birth or a child who died young. Hymns during mass will be sung by the Avondale Voices Choir.

Bank Holiday Fishing Competition
A fishing competition will be held at the NDAF “Fishing for All” Angling Facility, Rednagh Road, Aughrim on Monday June 4th from 12 – 3pm. Prizes – Plaques and Fishing Vouchers for heaviest Senior catch of the day and Junior catch of the day.  Entry fee included in admission ticket. “Like” the National Disabled Angling Facility on Facebook for further details on events and promotions or for further information phone 0402 36552.

 

Graveyard Mass
The Graveyard Mass in old Kiltegan graveyard (on the road to St. Patrick’s) will take place on Friday June 1st. at 8pm.

 

GAA News
Our adult team played Knockananna in the next round of the Division 3 Challenge Cup last Saturday at home. This match doubled up as the final of the Dawn Lacey Cup. We ran out worthy winners in a well contested and sporting contest.
Our annual Run The Rock takes place next Saturday June 2nd at 11 am. at the Brooke Lodge Hotel Macreddin .This year we have stunning new medals specially commissioned for those taking part, please see our Facebook page for all details. Saturday night we have our social night in O’ Toole’s lounge one of our main sponsors of this event so come along and relax after the exertions of the day.

Lotto

The numbers: 9, 16, 21 and 27 were drawn in the sports club lotto on Monday last May 21st. There was one match three: Kay Byrne, Glenheist. The jackpot was not won.   The jackpot is €3300.

Market
