Cycle accident victim named

The man who died in a cycle accident close to Rathdangan over the week-end has been named as Jonathan Booth.

Mr Booth aged in his 40’s was originally from Northern Ireland but was living in Baltinglass.

Family members raised the alarm when he failed to return home on Friday evening from a cycle trip.

A major search involving the Civil Defence, the Garda search unit and Mountain rescue teams was carried out on Saturday morning between Rathdangan and Aughavanagh, Mr Booth’s body was found in a wooded area at Barnameila close to the Mullin Cross.
