Traffic information from the AA if you are going to the Ed Sheeran concerts in Dublin

Significant traffic restrictions will be in place in and around the Phoenix Park today (16th), Friday (18th) and Saturday (19th) for the concerts. Gates open each day at 5pm with the first act on stage at 5:45pm. Ed himself is expected on stage at 8:45pm. The event finishes at 11pm.

ROAD CLOSURES

Chesterfield Ave, Fountain Rd and Ordnance Survey Rd from 4pm to 1am the following day. Military Rd and Glen Rd will be one way during the same period. Traffic from the Gough R/A to Knockmaroon Gate will be diverted between 6pm and 7am the following day. Conyngham Rd, Parkgate St, Wolfe Tone Quay, Ellis Quay, Infirmary Rd and NCR will close from 9pm to 1am the following morning.

Cabra Gate and Ashtown Gate will close from 4pm to 7am the following day. North Circular Rd, Knockmaroon Gate and Islandbridge Gate will be exit only during the same period.

Outside the park, Blackhorse Ave will be closed from 4pm to 1am each day.

Conyngham Rd, Parkgate St, Wolfe Tone Quay, Ellis Quay (to James Joyce Bridge), Infirmary Rd and the NCR (to Aughrim St), Montpelier Hill, Benburb St, Liffey St West and Temple St West will close from 9pm to 1am on the same dates.

PARKING

There will be no parking in and around the Phoenix Park. Parking is available in the usual city centre locations, with public transport available from then onwards. Zoo parking is available pre road closures taking effect (times above).

PUBLIC TRANSPORT

Those attending are advised to travel using public transport and the shuttle bus services to/from the venue. They will be available from Custom House Quay in the city centre from 3pm.

Irish Rail will have extra trains following the concert from Ashtown Station to Connolly for connecting services.

The closest Luas stops are Heuston Station on the Red Line and Broombridge or Grangegorman on the Green Line. Intending passengers are advised to expect delays at all stops.

Post concert, outbound Dublin Bus services will be available on Victoria Quay and on the Navan Rd past the Ashtown R/A. Inbound services will be available on the Navan Rd, NCR (Hanlon’s Corner) and at Inns Quay.
