Wicklow Senior footballers have beaten Offaly in the first round of the Leinster championship in Portlaoise.
Wicklow had 5 points to spare winning 1-20 to 1-15, they will now go on to face Dublin.
The Garden went in at the break trailing by 1-5 to 0-5 after an eventful first half but clawed their way back into the game in the second.
The game went to extra time with the sides locked at 0-14 to 1-11, with Mark Jackson stopping a penalty in an exciting second half.
A spirited Wicklow scored a further 5 points in the first half of extra-time to Offaly’s 2 going in 0-19 to 1-13.
Wicklow ran out worthy winners with Darragh Fitzgerald adding a goal.
