Developing technology is renowned for being challenging. Wicklow woman Muireann Fitzmaurice has taken on that challenge by developing a brand new online tool, the MarketingCoachToolkit, that helps SME’s get an expertly guided marketing plan for their business.
According to the statistics, 44% of Irish business succeed after the first 5 years. Some of the biggest challenges facing new business owners is cash flow management and lack of skills and business knowledge. One of the biggest knowledge gaps out there is around the areas of marketing and getting sales.
“For years I have worked with business owners and typically they are time poor, cash strapped and fiercely ambitious to make their business succeed,” says Muireann Fitzmaurice.
“I saw a gap in the market where I could develop an online solution that would help give these business owners the support they need to create a really sharp marketing plan in a really cost- effective way — I wanted to empower business owners to really survive and thrive in the first couple of years of their business.
The MarketingCoachToolkit (www.marketingcoach.ie/toolkit) is now up for a local award. Muireann has just been shortlisted for two awards in the Network Ireland Wicklow Woman of the Year Award in the categories of Best Small SME and Best Use of Digital.
“I am thrilled to be shortlisted for the awards. I love getting the opportunity to live and work in Wicklow. After coaching my clients, I can walk out my hall-door and am on the beach in Greystones within 5 minutes. The MarketingCoachToolkit is now enabling me to help business owners from Wicklow to Australia get real clarity on how to marketing their business.” Muireann said.
