SPLIT THE POT
Scoil Aodan Naofa Carnew Split the Pot of 7th June was John Edwards winning €177, congratulations to Aaron O’Brien and Darragh Carton who won sellers prizes. Thank you to all those who supported this important fundraisers which helps to buy valuable resources for our school and our children’s benefit. Only a few draws left this school year, so please support and get your tickets to be in with a chance of winning.
GAA LOTTO
Carnew GAA lotto was not won, numbers were 3,9,22,30, lucky dips were John O’Sullivan. Drew Brennan. Lauren Myers, c/o John Joe. Grace Sheehan, c/o Michael O’Sullivan. The next draw was 18th June and the jackpot was €2,400.
Ballyellis  NS “Split the Pot”

Winner of “split the pot” for week 15th June 2018 is Mary Walsh, Donishall   – winning €141.  Well done Mary. We thank everyone for supporting “Split the Pot” in Ballyellis  School. Winners of the sellers prizes were Kyle Keane, Daniel Dee, Rory Dee and Shay Doran.

           

“Mock Wedding and BBQ in Askamore Hall”

Ballyellis National School are holding a “Mock Wedding” and BBQ on Saturday 23rd June 2018 at 9pm in Askamore Hall. All proceeds going towards the purchase of graded readers for the children. Tickets €15 incl. BBQ by Mick Kelly. DJ til late. Special guest  performance on the night. Great door prizes.

 

Kilrush Drama Group – Flight to Grosse Ile

As part of the programme of events planned to welcome our Canadian Visitors who are coming to the area from July 14th to July 21st in conjunction with the Canadian/Coolattin Connection,  Kilrush Drama Group under the direction of Mick Byrne will present Flight to Grosse Ile an award winning play by Nenagh Schoolteacher, Jim Minogue – which deals with various aspects of the Great Famine of the 1840s.

This is a most ambitious production is about an Irish family forced to emigrate to Canada at the height of the Great Famine. There are over fifty characteres involved in this production  including actors, musicians, singers and dancers.  The play/pageant will be staged in St. Brigid’s  Hall Carnew on the 19th and 20th of July.
