Carnew notes week June 25th

SPLIT THE POT
The winner of Scoil Aodan Naofa Carnew Split the Pot of 8th June was Marie Cullen winning €190, tickets on sale from the school or local shops.

COUNTY FEST
Carnew Heritage Club is busy preparing for their annual Heritage Day on Sunday 16th September, they have a Teenage Disco on Friday 14th and on Saturday 15th Cliona Hagan and Lee Matthews will perform on the night.

GAA LOTTO 
Carnew GAA lotto was not won, numbers were 5,6,10,25, lucky dips were May O’Brien, c/o James Doran. Tommy Collins, Kilcavan. Jack Collins. Tom Hennessy, Tombreane. The next draw is 2nd July in Sinnott’s and the jackpot is €2,600.

CARNEW AGRICULTURAL SHOW
Carnew Agricultural Show Society will be held on Saturday 21st July in Umrigar with all the usual classes, schedules will be available shortly.

PATRONS 
The annual patrons in Carnew and Tomacork will be held on Sunday 15th July, Carnew 1.15 pm and Tomacork at 2pm with the usual field day.

KNOCK 
The annual pilgrimage to knock from Askamore is on Monday 2nd July, some seats still remain, if interested please contact Mary Kenny on 0861541948 or 0539426358.

 

Wicklow Way walks

Our Wicklow Way walks continue with the following: On Sunday July 1, the walk is from Foleystown Wood to Glenmalure. Grade A, 20km, 6 hours, meeting at 9.15am, Glenmalure. On Sunday July 8, the walk is from Glenmalure to Glendalough. Grade A, 15km, 5 hours, meeting at 9.15am, Glenmalure.

Buses are being hired as appropriate. Keep an eye on these notes or the club Facebook page for further details. As well as the usual advice about bringing proper food and clothing we also ask you to make a realistic assessment of your fitness levels and stamina. All Wicklow Way modules are graded A and are from 15km to 25km in length

 

Ballyellis  NS “Split the Pot”

Winner of “split the pot” for week 22nd June 2018 is Maya Kavanagh   – winning €211.  Well done Maya. We thank everyone for supporting “Split the Pot” in Ballyellis  School it is much appreciated.  “Split the Pot” will resume in September.
