Hot Spot Music Club|Thinner Lizzy

Above the Beach House at Greystones Harbour Marina.

Thinner Lizzy are a 5 piece Thin Lizzy tribute band from Co. Wicklow.

Johnny Dillon,  Ronan Carroll,  Brendan Curran,  Gavin Molony and Brendan Smyth.

All members are regular players on the Leinster rock, blues and alternative circuit.

They were formed in 2016 out of a mutual admiration for the original  band.

The band’s repertoire includes the incredible Live & Dangerous album.

All the well known hits,  two hours of classic Irish rock !!

Doors open 8:00 p.m.  Show starts 9:30 p.m.

Greystones Cancer Support Men’s Evening

The men will be visiting their allotment at Season Park Farm Allotment.

And then going for a meal.

This evening is for men who have or who have had cancer and for those men who have family or friends who have had cancer.

Allotment at Season Park Farm Allotments NTMK is going well.

The ground has been cleared and the shed is up !!

Fruit,  flowers,  veg,  herbs,  all growing nicely.

Fantastic work from GCS men !!

Green fingers all round !!

Concert in Aid of Tiglin|Paddy Casey, Declan O’Rourke and Lisa Loughrey

Food Market and Bar will be open on the grounds from 6:30 p.m.

All proceeds will go to Homeless and Addiction Charity,  Tiglin.

Hot Spot Music Club|Aja: A Tribute to the Music of Steely Dan

Above the Beach House at Greystones Harbour Marina.

Aja recreates the sounds of one of rock’s most legendary and enigmatic bands.

There is stunning precision and energy.

The joint will be rockin’ to all the Dan classics from Reelin’ in the Years to Hey Nineteen.

And beyond.

Eight piece ensemble features some of Dublin’s finest jazz,  rock and session musicians.

Their live set opens with the entire classic album,  Aja,  hence the name.

The Untold Story of Oscar Wilde’s Wife & Mother of His Children

Constance battled her own inner demons and secrets from her past.

Oscar Wilde’s catastrophic downfall was her fall.

Yes,  she died unnoticed by the world.

The play incorporates one of the most notorious legal cases that captivated England.

It also enquires into the cost of the characters’ conduct,  Oscar’s hopes for salvation.

And Constance’s valiant effort to find redemption.

Hot Spot Music Club|Iarla Ó Lionáird & Steve Cooney

Iarla Ó Lionáird is a two time Grammy nominee,  best known for his unmistakable voice.

Also known for his distinctive sean nós style as part of the successful The Gloaming.

He is accompanied for this concert by the acoustic guitar virtuoso,  Steve Cooney.

Iarla Ó Lionáird has carved a long and unique career in music,  in Ireland and abroad.

He was born in the West Cork Gaeltacht and a neighbour of Seán Ó Riada.

A wonderful evening will be had by all.

In the old days,  people would gather in the house of the best storyteller, the Seanchaí.

Irish Water Safe Week in Greystones

Greystones South Beach.

Registration @South Beach Lifeguard Station on 9 July @10:00 a.m.

Candidates should be 10 years of age.

Cost is €40 for safety classes;  €50 for rescue classes.

Candidates will learn safety and rescue skills.

Wetsuits are recommended but not compulsory.

Classes generally run every day;  class duration can vary.

More information available on registration day.

Places are allocated on a first come,  first served basis.

It is not possible to register outside the designated registration.

If you cannot attend on registration day,  please attend on first day of course.

And speak to an available instructor.
