Katie Taylor will defend her IBF and WBA world lightweight titles against mandatory challenger Kimberley Connor in London’s O2 Arena on the 28th of July.
The Bray-native will fight the 37-year-old American who has an impressive record of 13 wins from 16 bouts.
Taylor’s title defences will take place on the undercard of English heavyweight Dillian Whyte’s clash against New Zealand’s Joseph Parker.
She will be joined on the undercard by Kell Brook, who faces Brandon Cook in a fight considered to be a “world title eliminator” in the superwelterweight division.
Meanwhile, Conor Benn will fight Cedrick Peynaud seven months after overcoming two knock-downs to outpoint the Frenchman.
“July 28 is a huge night of boxing with a brilliant 50-50 heavyweight match-up and a stacked card beneath it,” promoter Eddie Hearn said.
This will be Taylor’s return to London’s O2 arena, having previously beaten Monica Gentill by TKO in her third professional bout in March of 2017 in the same venue.
