Congratulations to our Unbeaten Wicklow County Ladies who welcomed the reigning Champions Meath to Roundwood on Sunday afternoon in the first round of the championship. At Half time Wicklow lead 1-09 to Meath 0-07 with a very impressive display. In the second half Wicklow continued to impress and were deserving winners with the full time score: Wicklow 2-17 to Meath 2-15.Congratulations to all involved especially our own Niamh McGettigan, Rose Fagan, Saoirse O’Reilly and Mick Kavanagh (Management Team)
Congratulations to our Ladies Captain Sarah Delahunt on winning LGFA Interfirms Blitz 2018 at Naomh Mearnóg GAA Club, Portmarnock, Dublin, representing AIB.
Hard luck to Wicklow Under 20 footballers this week who came up against a very strong Meath side on Monday evening with the final scoreline of Meath 6-16 Wicklow 1-09 in the Leinster U20 football championship. On Saturday the U20’s travelled to Port Laoise to take on the home side in a must win game for both. Unfortunately the home side prevailed in an agonising defeat for Wicklow who deserved better after a really positive display. Full time: Laois 1-14 Wicklow 1-13 in Round 2 of the Under 20 Leinster Football Championship.
Hard Luck to our County Hurlers in the Christy Ring final game against Kildare on June 2nd in Aughrim especially our own Andy O’Brien, George O’Brien, John Connors, Christy Moorehouse (Jnr) and Gerry Connors. In an entertaining game where both sides kept going to the end with a final score of Wicklow 3-18 Kildare 4-19

On Saturday Our U11 and U13 hurlers visited Wexford park for the Wexford V Galway Leinster Hurling Championship clash. Thank you to Crossabeg Ballymurn GAA Club for being such welcoming hosts and participating in excellent games of hurling. Kids and parents had a great day. We look forward to welcoming you on the return trip to St Pats.
