Warnings issued as temperatures set to hit 30’s

With temperatures expected to reach the 30’s this week  Fire services and the Department of Agriculture are warning people not to light fires outside designated areas during the current dry spell.

Gorse fires and forest fires were reported throughout a number of areas over the weekend including Arklow, Carnew and Kilmacanogue.

The Department of Agriculture have issued a Code Orange warning which is in effect until Thursday.

People are being urged not to light fires due to the conditions and to be careful if having a barbecue.
