On Saturday morning you can visit Wicklow Harbour and view all the fantastic boats getting ready to take part in the Volvo Round Ireland Yacht Race which leaves from Wicklow harbour at 2pm. After that there is a great programme of family entertainment organised by the Wicklow Sailing Club up at the Black Castle which will run until 5pm.
At 5pm, the Taste of Wicklow kicks off with Live Music at the historic Abbey Grounds, Wicklow Town, a great new outdoor music festival with some of the most exciting acts in the country including local Wicklow Town band Look to the Lady, Greystones-based Music Generation, Xquisite Dance runners up in Irelands Got Talent, Caffolla and Engel who have appeared at some of the largest Music venues in the country.
The headline act Dublin based Seo Linn have recently returned from a tour of Australia and have played 3 Arena, the Aviva, The BordGais Energy Theatre and Vicar Street. Live Music at the Abbey Grounds from 5pm – 10pm, Wicklow Town promises to be a fantastic evening of entertainment. There will be 10 food stalls and a full bar to cater for the large attendance of music lovers that is sure to throng to this new beautiful live music venue.
