Coffee Morning
In aid of Sister Ann’s Mission in Haiti. We are gradually reaching our target of €6000 to build a house for a severely handicapped lady but require one more effort to do so. A coffee morning is organised for Saturday 21st July from 10.30am-1.30pm at Hillbreeze Snugborough, Barniskey (Cunninghams). Come and enjoy a cuppa and support Sister Ann in her work for the poor of Haiti.
AVOCA SENIOR CITIZENS
The Avoca Senior Citizens extend their sincere thanks to Myles Doyle and staff at the Avoca Recycling Centre for their generous donation to our fund from the proceeds of the Clothes Recycling scheme. This scheme also supports many other local charities, so please remember them when sorting out your wardrobes and linen cupboards.
Also please give a thought to the Avoca Senior Citizens buckets which are in the local shops located at: Avoca Post Office, Avoca Chemist, Henley’s Shop and Café, Kelly’s Bar, P.G.Rowley’s Rathdrum, Leo’s Bar Conary, The Meetings Avoca, Farriers In White Bridge, Delaney’s Shop Woodenbridge, as every cent counts.
Our heartfelt thanks go out to all who contribute and collect for our local Senior Citizens.
On a more sombre note. The Committee regret to inform our Senior Citizens of the demise of two of our much cherished members. Dolly Heath, and Mary Burke, who both worked tirelessly alongside us for many years. They will be greatly missed by all involved.
