Road resurfacing works at the Grand Hotel Junction will commence today and will last for approximately five to seven days, Wicklow Municipal District has said.
The works will involve the raising of the levels of existing road gullies, manholes and valve boxes as well as the installation of new road markings and traffic light system upgrading.
During the works, a traffic management system will be in place which may cause some delays at times, but local access to business/premises will be maintained at all times as well as access for emergency vehicles.
There may also be some disruption due to machinery noise and dust during the works, which the Municipal District will try keep to a minimum at all times.
Road users are encouraged to use the Town Relief Road as much as possible to minimise traffic congestion and delays.
