Famfest is a celebration of families of all shapes and sizes. As the country welcomes Pope Francis to Ireland to celebrate World Meeting of Families, Wicklow Town will be having its own local festival of families.
Family is what you want it to be, big or small, which is what Famfest aims to be: an inclusive celebration and a time to relax and enjoy your loved ones.
This a free event and is open to all families to come along. The emphasis is on fun and enjoyment with many activities planned including a 40ft obstacle course, giant slide, magic show, face painting, storytelling, family scavenger hunt and various musical entertainment for all ages.
A BBQ with very reasonable prices will be available on the day from Mystic Celt Chef Paul Smith, along with sweets, treats and drinks from the Mini Coffee Company, Truly Scrumptious, and the Irish Popcorn Company.
Due to all the activities that will be taking place it will not be possible to bring your pets along to this particular event.
The annual Abbey Mass and family picnic will take place on Sunday 29th July at 11.30am to finish off this weekend of celebration.
Why not come and enjoy a few hours of fun, entertainment and chat in the beautiful Abbey Grounds.
