Gorse fires in Rathdrum and Wicklow town

Wicklow Fire Services have attended to gorse fires in Rathdrum and Wicklow Town this evening.

Fire services in Rathdrum were called to a gorse fire in Ballygannon while Wicklow fire services are dealing with a gorse fire at the Dunbur Road.

Emergency services in Bray say they have the fire on Bray head “under control”.

Members of the public are being asked not to dispose of lit cigarettes or use barbeques during the dry spell.
