Wicklow minors draw with Kildare in Leinster championship semi-final

The Wicklow minor team have drawn with Kildare in the Leinster championship semi-final at Newbridge.

Kildare with home advantage went in at half-time leading by 5 points 1-8 to 1-3.

But in a pulsating second half Wicklow pulled out all the stops and took the game to extra-time.

The teams went into extra-time with the score Wicklow 2-9 Kildare 1-12.

Kildare took advantage in the first half of extra-time and led by a goal at the break.

But in never say die fashion this Wicklow team pulled it out of the fire with only minutes on the clock with a goal from Eoin Darcy and a point at the death from John Keogh.
