Yoga Classes

Mixed level yoga classes will recommence on September 12th at Aughrim Community Sports Complex.  Wednesday evenings 8-9.15pm and Monday mornings 9.30-10.45am. 6 week course €60, drop in rate €13 per class. Places are limited so please text/call Yvonne on 0876778733 to book or for more details.

Active Retirement

Our summer break is coming to a close. We are having our first meeting of members on Tuesday September 4th, in the usual venue at 10. 30 am. Look forward to seeing you all there. We will be speaking about items on the agenda for the coming months.

Jim’s Way
The family of Jim O’Brien would like to sincerely thank all those who contributed to and/or attended the renaming of the Pure Mile to Jim’s Way. It was a fitting and touching tribute.

Elevation School of Performing Arts

Elevation School of Performing Arts returns for it’s 12th year in Aughrim.  Delivering even more classes in Modern, Ballet, Drama and now in Musical Theatre, Mini Stars, Commercial Dance & Boys Commercial Action Theatre Dance there is something for everyone on our schedule. Whether it’s for enjoyment, grading or performance opportunities, or just somewhere to dance, act or sing your cares away surrounded by good friends then ESPA is the place to nurture your child’s goals as we focus on fun, progressive development and socialising in a safe and encouraging setting.

Teachers are fully and professionally qualified to ensure children learn through safe performance practice to build skills using fun and original techniques.  Classes resume on Thursday September 13th between 2:45-8pm and also on Friday September 14th between 5-7pm.

Parish Administrator

The Church of the Sacred Heart parish pastoral council are pleased to announce that Fr. David Fleming has been appointed by Archbishop Diarmuid Martin as Administrator of our parish.  Fr. David’s appointment will commence from the weekend of 01/02 September 2018.  We welcome Fr. David to Aughrim and look forward to having a locally based priest back in our community

Annual Sheep Show

The 51st Annual Aughrim Sheep Show and Sale will take place in Carnew Mart on Friday September 7th starting at 9am.  Entries forms are available from Alan Kinsella 087 2792157 or Presentation Cabaret will be held on the night in O’ Toole’s, Aughrim at 9pm. Many thanks to all who supported the Commemorative Book.  Copies are still available from all committee members for €15.

Tai Chi & Qi Gong Classes 
Learn gentle flowing healing movements that relieve stress, improve flexibility and mobility. Tai Chi & Qi Gong Classes Wednesday evenings from 7 – 8 pm @ Aughrim Sports & Leisure Complex.  Cost € 80 for a block of 8 classes. The numbers: 1, 8, 11, 15 drawn in the sports club lotto on Monday last August 20th.The jackpot was not won. Match three winners were: Gerry Keogh and Kyle & Garry. The jackpot is €2100.


Aughrim Town & Country Market at the Pavilion every Saturday from 10am – 2pm.
