Those from Wicklow attending the Pope’s visit will have to pre-book their bus or train tickets in order to avoid disappointment.
AA Roadwatch have released information regarding traffic restrictions and travel ahead of the Pope’s Phoenix Park Mass on Sunday.
The road traffic site has advised anyone travelling from outside of Dublin to purchase any public transport tickets to the venue in advance.
There will be no parking at Phoenix Park, but buses will drop attendees off as close to the venue as possible. Public transport will be free to those travelling from the Greater Dublin area and carrying a mass ticket.
Those driving into the city on the day are warned that there will be a controlled access zone between 6 AM to 11 PM and to expect diversions, road closures, and restrictions.
