Wicklow fire services prevent disaster in Kilcoole

Greystones firefighters responded to a potentially disastrous wildfire on the Creowen Road in Kilcoole at 6 am this morning.

The fire began in bushes and trees neighbouring the nearby houses at Creowen Road, but firefighters responded just in time before the fire could spread and cause further damage.

The incident is the latest in a series of wildfires that have been plaguing Co.Wicklow over the summer months.
