Avoca notes week October 22nd



A Meeting of the County Wicklow IFA Farm Family Committee will take place on Tuesday, 30th October in the Woodenbridge Hotel at 8pm.

Our speaker this month is Gillian Stewart of the Wicklow Mountains National Park.

We extend a warm welcome to all IFA members and their families. There is a cup of tea/coffee after the meeting where people can have a chat and get to know one another. Why not come along and enjoy the evening.

Avoca Heritage Centre

Like to give a little joy and love to a needy child this Christmas?


We here at the Avoca Heritage Centre are hoping to get a few boxes to send over, all you have to do is choose a boy or a girl, age group 2-4, 5-9 or 10-14 years old, get your shoe box wrapped (box and lid separately). Items allowed are – items for school pens, books etc – wash items soap, tooth brush and paste etc NO liquid – small clothing items hat, scarf, socks etc and don’t forget a treat toys, games, teddy, small torch or maybe some sweets.

If anyone would like any more information or interested in sending a box call into Avoca Heritage Centre. Closing Date to get your finished shoeboxes back to us is Friday 9th November 4pm. Every child deserves a gift at Christmas!!!
