Each Friday morning,  St. Patrick’s Parish Centre,  Church Road;  11.30 am to 1 pm.

Tea/coffee and biscuits.

Memory Lane Music Group is for people with Alzheimer’s and/or their carers.

Singing is not only an enjoyable activity.

It can also provide a way for people with dementia,  and their carers,  to socialise.

They can express themselves and meet up with others in a fun and supportive group.

HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE COLLECTION 2018

Bray Recycling Centre,  Boghall Road;  27 October 2018;  9.30 am to 1 pm.

Much of what we throw in our bins is actually hazardous waste.

Please do not throw out any of the followings wastes.

Please safely store them until the Household Hazardous Waste Collection on 27 October.

Paints & solvents;  batteries;  fluorescent tubes;  fertilisers;  pesticides & poisons.

Waste medicines,  adhesives,  inks and resins;  caustic soda and waste oils;

Drain cleaners;  cleaning agents & detergents;  photographic chemicals;

Oven cleaners;  shoe polishes.

Batteries may be left at any Wicklow County Council Recycling Centre.

The are part of a free take back scheme at all shops selling batteries.

Paints are taken at Bray Recycling Centre at all times.

It is not always possible to predict the amount of hazardous waste materials.

That will be delivered to the collections.

Native of Italy,  now living in Greystones.

Francesco was introduced to guitar by his first teacher.

He learned jazz fingerstyle and jazz composition.

Arrangements by Bruno Tommaso and Giancarlo Gazzani.

Since 2000, Francesco has studied with Mike Nielson and Jane O’Leary at RIAM.

In 2003,  he was award scholarship to study with Irish composer,  Ronan Guilfoyle.

He has collaborated with some of the most respected musicians on the Irish jazz scene.

As a free lance artist is is working with his quartet.

Wicklow Dementia Support

Charity Art Exhibition

Pop Up Shop,  La Touche Place,  Greystones.

Launch will be held on 25 October 2018 at 7:30 p.m.

Exhibition will include works from over a dozen local artists:

Michael Gemmell,  Nicky Kruseman and Patrick Walshe.

They have generously donated works to be raffled on the night.

Admission is €10 to include raffle ticket and glass of wine.

Funds will go to Wicklow Dementia Support.

Four works from students of St. Gerard’s School Bray will also be exhibited.

Students are raising funds the submitting their artwork for a competition.

Pop Up Gallery will be open 26 to 28 October 2018,  10:a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Fifty percent of all sales will go to Wicklow Dementia Support.

 

Wicklow Demential Support is a local charity,  supporting people with dementia.

And also their families.

The group aims to support the person with dementia at home in their local community.
