Motorists advised to drive with caution as Status Yellow Rainfall Alert remains until 9pm

Motorists throughout the county are being advised to use caution on all roads today.

Spot flooding is being reported in many parts of the county, the sea road between Arklow and Brittas Bay has been reported as dangerous.

Status Yellow Rainfall Warning is in place for counties Carlow, Kilkenny, Wexford and Wicklow. The warning is valid until 9pm tonight (13th).

The AA advise if you are driving on wet roads, slow down and keep a safe distance from the vehicle in front of you. Only drive through water if you know it’s not too deep for your car.
