Two Wicklow actors have been cast in the upcoming production of RENT at Dublin’s Liberty Hall Theatre on October 23rd.
Amy Penston and Emily Carroll have been cast in leading roles in the popular show, which deals with a group of young artists trying to create lives for themselves in Manhattan during a time haunted by HIV/AIDS.
Arklow native Amy Penston remarked: “We’re inviting Irish audiences to come and enjoy a truly hilarious and deeply moving piece of musical theatre. The message is to live life to the fullest and without fear, it’s a message that is just as relevant today as it was 20 years ago.”
The cast of RENT includes soap star Adam Weafer who recently finished his role in Coronation Street and 98FM’s Karl Dawson.
RENT The Musical will run from October 23-27 in Dublin’s Liberty Hall Theatre at 7.30pm each night. Tickets are priced at €25-€30 and can be purchased on the theatres website www.libertyhalltheatre.ie.
