Free course continues Wednesdays,  9.30 am to 12.30 pm.

Run by Greystones Family Resource Centre & Bray Area Partnership.

Programme is held in the Charlesland Community Centre.

Relaxed and non-judgmental environment.

Sessions will begin with a guided relaxation/meditation.

Creative activities such as the making of vision boards and life books.

The course will explore the following:

  • Understanding obstacles that hold us back from reaching our full potential.
  • Taking steps to remove those obstacles.
  • Begin to build real and lasting confidence and self-belief.
  • Using Mindfulness and Positive Psychology to find peace in a frantic world.
  • How to realistically turn our negatives into positives.
  • How to maintain positive mental health.

Family Carers Support Group

Today and each third Friday of the month.  This group meets once a month.

Memory Lane Music Group is a weekly group.

This group is for people with Alzheimer’s and/or their carers.

Singing is not only an enjoyable activity.

It can also provide a way for people with dementia,  and their carers,  to socialise.

They can express themselves and meet up with others in a fun and supportive group.

Hot Spot Music Club|Filology Jazz Band with Jo Smyth

Above the Beach House at Greystones Harbour Marina.

Filology is a top-notch Cork-based band.

Roberto Carrazza on piano;  Cormac Hennessy on double bass;  John Philip Murray on drums.

Josephine Smyth’s sweet voice adds further variety to the sound.

The sound moves easily betweeen songs from the “Great American Songbook”.

Through to Be-bop and Latin American tunes.

Filology have performed in venues all over Cork,  including Connolly’s of Leap.

And the Guinness Cork Jazz Festival 2015 to 2017,  with plans for 2018.

Sunday evening residency at Counihan’s,  Pembroke Street,  Dublin, for the past year.

Jeff Bridges plays Jeffrey Lebowski,  who would rather you call him The Dude.

Hard to believe it’s been 20 years since the Coen Brothers directed this famous comedy.

Bridges is joined by John Goodman,  Steve Buscemi and Jon Torturro.

Coming to the big screen at The Whale,  The Dude will be celebrated with this 1998 classic.

Pre-screening groovefest includes the finest rug-fueled hippy classics on the sound system.

And,  of course,  White Russians at the bar.

Performances,  talks and discussion,  from music to stand-up comedy.

Dance to neuro-linguistic programming.

Curated by Wicklow native,  Brian O’Regan.

This event boasts a stellar line-up of performers and speakers.

Including sharp-witted comedian Danny O’Connor.

Daring musicians,  Alex Petcu and Lina Andonovska.

Rob Heaslip Dance and much more.

Brian describes the programme as a “fusion of ideas.

All of them extraordinary in their own extraordinary way.”

A panel of high profile festival directors and arts leaders will lead a discussion.

Discussion will include the arts and cultural sector in Ireland.

Theatre Lane will be showing off its own “Extraordinary Idea”.

Guided Tours of the brand new Boutique Loft Apartments.

Tours led by Sharon Ryle,  interior designer and designer of this superb loft.
