WILLS & POWER OF ATTORNEY

Roundwood Bethany Bereavement Support Group will host a talk and discussion by a qualified Solicitor on Wills and Enduring Power of Attorney on Wednesday 28th November 2018 at 8.00 pm in the Parish Hall.  Admission is free, and refreshments will be served.

 

SALE OF WORK

Roundwood and Moneystown Christmas Sale of Work will take place in An Tochar GAA Complex on Sunday December 2nd from 12 – 4pm. A great day out for all the family with something for everyone. All donations for the various stalls will be gratefully accepted and can be left with Maureen in the Parish Office between 9.30 and 1pm (Mon-Thurs)before November 29th.

 

SHEEPDOG TRIALS RESULTS

The results of the Roundwood sheep dog trials results held on the 1st November are as follows:- Open class: 1st, Miriam Letterer, 2nd, Billy Ryan, 3rd, Kristina Rozniach, 4th Ned O’Keeffe, 5th, Denis Birchall & 6th Billy Ryan. Novice Class: 1st, Edward Clahill, 2nd Billy Ryan, 3rd Andy Corrigan & 4th Ailish Dixon. Wicklow Class: 1st Denis Birchall, 2nd, Pat Molloy, 3rd Andy Corrigan & 4th Denis Birchall. The committee would like to thank all their sponsors & judges & all the competitors on the day.

 

HISTORICAL SOCIETY

The next event in the Roundwood Historical Society’s 2018 Series will take place on Monday 26th November 2018 at 8pm in Kavanagh’s (Vartry House). The theme for the evening is A Photographic History of the Society over the last 30 years.

We have several hundred photographs of Society events from 1996 to 2018 which need to be catalogued and the participants and locations identified. The older photographs have been scanned and we will present a selection of them with a view to making notes on the events and the people. We are looking forward to this trip down memory lane and it should be a fun evening of reminiscing!  We look forward to seeing you on Monday 26th November at 8pm. The entrance fee for members is €3 and for non-members is €5 – payable at the door

 

ANNAMOE BOWLS

Annamoe bowls continues on Tuesday night and all newcomers are very welcome. So why not come along and give it a try?

 

Roundwood Coder Dojo

Started back on the 10th of November in Roundwood NS. These are free fun computer coding sessions for age 7+. So get your laptops ready and join in for a session packed with coding. There are spare laptops available for use if required. If you haven’t been back in a while or want to try something different why not come along and we talk about Scratch, web design and robotics! DIAMOND BRIDGE CLUB

Nancy O Brien and Brid Clancy took 1st place for North/South on Monday 12th November, 2nd Phil Power and Catherine McGillycuddy, 3rd Claire O Connor and Maria Magee and 4th Pamela and Margaret Byrne.  East/West winners were  Molly Byrne and Rachel Judd, 2nd Marie Kavanagh and Geretie Fee and joint 3rd/4th Ger Lenihan, Paddy O Brien Mary Pierce and Clare Sally.

Maria Magee and Rowena Brady played their cards right on Friday 16th November to take 1st place for North/South, Noeleen Redmond and John Loscher were 2nd  Molly Byrne and Rachel Judd were 3rd and 4th place went to Nancy O Brien and Catherine McGillycuddy.  1st place for East/West went to Paddy O Brien and Ger Lenihan, 2nd Phil Kenna and Liz Belton, Gertie Fee and Jane Cronin were 3rd whilst Maura Gaskin and Bridie Nolan took 4th.

 

SET DANCING

Set dancing in Kavanagh’s every Thursday night from 9 until 11pm

 

ACTIVE RETIREMENT LUNCH 

The next Active retirement Lunch is in Lynhams on Friday 23rd November at 1.30 pm.

 

MORNING BADMINTON

Morning badminton has resumed on Tuesday morning from 9.30pm.  All are welcome.

 

BINGO

Monday night Bingo in The Coach House, Roundwood Starting at 8:30pm with Cash prizes. A fun night out every Monday.

 

CAR BOOT SALE

It is proposed to have our  November car boot sales on the second Sunday of the month on the 18th December.

 

ROUNDWOOD WHIZZERS

Roundwood Whizzers Walking Group are back in action meeting at 7pm every Wednesday at the Coach House car park.  All welcome to walk at your own pace for approximately one hour.

 

ANGEL HEALING

Angel Healing and Angelic Guidance is back tomorrow evening Monday the 3rd of September in the Parish Hall Roundwood at 7.30 sharp. So if you would enjoy an evening of peace relaxation and hands on energy healing join us for a wonderful new experience.

There was no jackpot winner in last weeks draw.  The numbers drawn were 4, 5 8 & 25 There were four match three winners Margaret Cullen, Helen & Aisling,  Josephine Byrne & Amanda Halligan , Next weeks jackpot will be €22,900

CEILI DANCING LESSONS

Adult ceili dancing classes are held every Wednesday night in the parish hall from 8 to 9pm. Learn to solo dance and also group dances under the tuition of Aoife, Cian and Eimear and have great fun learning.
