Motorists are being advised to use caution when driving on the counties roads this evening following heavy rain and snowfalls in the Wicklow uplands.
Conditions on the Sally gap are being described as poor following overnight snow and flurries this afternoon.
Temperatures were down to zero this afternoon in the Wicklow hills.
Motorists on the M11/N11 are being asked to slow down and keep a distance from the vehicle in front as spot flooding has been reported.

Tonight will be cold with some further showers, heavy for a time, in the east, with a risk of thunder. Lowest temperatures of 2 to 5 degrees, with patchy frost in some inland parts.
