Last June 2,505 woman set a new world record for the world’s largest skinny dip at Magheramore beach here in Wicklow.
Now the funds raised have now been counted and have reached a staggering € 502,183,02.
The event was organised by Dee Featherstone in aid of cancer charity Aoibheann’s Pink Tie.
Who said “It was a very proud day for all us dippers, those who helped us dip and those who donated. Our Final Total over half a million euro, way beyond my dreams (and they are big) …. we are so close to realising and funding a dream of Aoibheann’s Pink Tie to have a respite home in Crumlin for the families and children around Ireland going through Childhood Cancer. A home where parents and children can be together and find solace and be close to the hospital. Beyond proud of what we have achieved. All the wonderful people that made this happen take a huge bow.
