Bray Wanderers to kick-off league campaign with trip to Cabinteely

Bray Wanderers will begin their 2019 Airtricity League First Division league season with an away trip against Cabinteely.

The fixtures for the new SSE Airtricity League season were released on Wednesday, with the Seagull’s — who were relegated from the Premier Division in 2018 — travelling to Stradbrook Road on the 22nd of February.

Gary Cronin’s side won’t have to wait long for their first home game, with Bray’s fellow relegated side Limerick travelling to the Carlisle Grounds on the 1st of March, before travelling to Galway on the following Friday.

The mid-season break will commence on the 15th of June and will last until the 27th, with Bray concluding their league campaign on the 21st of September with the visit of Longford Town.

The off-season has been a busy one for the Seagulls. Five new players have come in the door, while three of Bray’s 2018 squad — including Hugh Douglas — have extended their tenures at the club.

Meanwhile, the Wicklow club have struck sponsorship deals with Umbro and Matt Britton Carpets Ltd., as club chairman Niall O’Driscoll attempts to rebuild Bray Wanderers following a turbulent 2018.
