The Sunny South East of Ireland is set to stage the National AGM of The Association of Irish Musical Societies (AIMS)which takes place in the Arklow Bay Hotel on Sunday 27th January, 2019 at 2.30pm. This is the first time ever in the history of AIMS to have in Arklow, Co Wicklow which will be hosted by the South East Region of AIMS. Members of Avonmore Musical Society are delighted to have in Arkow as Avonmore Musical Society this year celebrate their 40th Anniversary of Musical Theatre in the seaside town.
Delegates will travel from all over Ireland and decend on The Arklow Bay Hotel from Friday night, where the association also hold their annual working weekend and plan for the busy year ahead, cumulating in the National AGM on Sunday afternoon. Robert Donnelly, Chairman of the South East Region of AIMS and currently National Vice President of AIMS and committee, are ensuring that delegates will have a wonderful time when they visit the Garden Of Ireland, bringing much needed early tourism to the town.
A warm welcome awaits people and looking forward to seeing as many members support the AGM and hopefully see Robert Donnelly re-elected to the position of National Vice President for a second term. Any member of an affiliated musical society may attend the AGM.
