The numbers 2, 15, 19 and 27 were drawn in this weeks Aughrim Sports club lotto January 7th. Match three winners was: Mary Kavanagh, The jackpot was not won. The jackpot now is €4950.
Pilates Classes
Pilates takes place in Aughrim Sports Centre, Tuesday 5:15pm & 6:30pm, Wednesday 10am all classes suitable for beginners and improvers. Contact Thérese (087)7731106.
Community Games
Athletics training is back from this Monday January 14th and every week from 7-8. All school going children are very welcome. A new year begins with activities starting in February. Please keep an eye out for notes and messages been passed through the schools and club. For further information you can contact me Fiona Shannon 087 2218366. Chess is been offered in 2019 by Seamus Duffy who is beginning classes in Aughrim National School this Wednesday after school from 2.45pm. If interested please contact him directly at 087 3141029. We would hope to be able to enter an U13 mixed Chess team into the community games competition. It’s not all about physical sports but cultural talent too. There is something for everybody in community games.
Active Retirement
Chair yoga recommences on Tuesday January 15th at 10.30am – €15 in an envelope please. Avondale College in Rathdrum are offering one to one Log on and Learn classes – are you interested?. Our meeting on Tuesday February 5th will be our AGM at which the new officers and Committee will be appointed.
Town & Country Market
The Market Cafe was jammed packed on Saturday last when we re-opened after the Christmas break. People enjoyed catching up with friends while they shared coffees and delicious brunches or yummy cakes and treats. Join us on Saturdays from 10am – 2pm at the Pavilion, Rednagh Road where you can avail of fresh local produce, organic fruit & veg, locally produced meat, eggs, preserves and home baked goods.
